R2v3 · SERI Responsible Recycling · Electronics
We take electronics recyclers, refurbishers, and ITAD operations from “interested in R2” to certified — building the documentation, the EHSMS, and the downstream due diligence that hold up under a real certification audit.
What R2v3 actually requires
R2v3 is built from ten Core Requirements every facility must meet, plus Process Requirement appendices that apply to the specific activities you perform. We scope exactly which ones touch your operation.
Core Requirements · CR 1–10
// CR-3 requires a conformant EHSMS — ISO 14001 + ISO 45001, or RIOS — as the foundation everything else is built on.
Process Requirements · Appendices A–G
// You only certify the appendices matching your activities. We help you scope in — and out — deliberately.
How we help
Engage us for the full path to certification, or for the one piece your team can’t cover internally.
A line-by-line assessment of your facility against every applicable Core Requirement and appendix, returned as a prioritized findings register — not a generic checklist.
CR 1–10 · scoped appendicesWe stand up or align your Environmental, Health & Safety Management System to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 so CR-3 is met before the auditor ever arrives.
CR-3 · ISO 14001 · ISO 45001Sanitization plans, method selection, verification, and the validated records auditors look for — covering logical, physical, and crypto-erase pathways.
Appendix B · data securityMap your full downstream recycling chain, vet vendors, and assemble the evidence trail that proves responsible end-of-life handling under Appendix A.
Appendix A · focus materialsPolicies, procedures, and records written to your actual workflow, plus staff training so the system survives turnover and daily operations — not just audit day.
procedures · competencyInternal audits, mock audits, on-site support during your certification audit, corrective-action response, and ongoing prep for annual surveillance.
CB liaison · CAPA · annualThe certification path
R2v3 certification is a chain of custody for your own readiness. Here’s the sequence we run — typically four to nine months, depending on where you start.
We confirm which appendices apply, walk your facility, and benchmark every requirement. You leave this phase knowing exactly what stands between you and certification.
EHSMS alignment, procedures, sanitization and downstream programs, and records — written to how your operation actually runs, then rolled out with training.
We audit you the way your certification body will, surface nonconformities while they’re cheap to fix, and close them out before the real thing.
You select an ANAB-accredited certification body; we help you prepare, sit alongside you on-site, and drive any corrective actions to closure.
Certificate issued. We keep your system live and ready for annual surveillance audits, regulation changes, and standard updates — so recertification is routine.
